Without a doubt, LinkedIn is the social media platform that performs best for my business. With the help of LinkedIn, I travel all over the UK speaking at business events and training businesses in the use of social media.
And the majority of the time, this is due to keyword searches. What I mean by this is that my clients are searching keywords on LinkedIn to find providers.
And yours could be too!!!
The more time the keywords they search appear in your profile, the higher you will appear in search results. This is also related to how connected you are to that person, with 1st and 2nd connections getting the preference.
So, what changes can you make to your LinkedIn approach to come up higher in searches?
1. Include more keywords
Complete your profile and make sure your keywords are repeated as much as possible. Do this in the course of the text rather than listing them, and make sure it still reads normal!
2. Connect more
The more 1st connections you have, the more 2nd connections you’ll have. For example, if you connect with someone who has 500 connections, you have added on 500 2nd connections! And you are more likely to appear higher in search results for those 500 people!
