After the year we’ve had, I think we’re all ready for a bit of festive cheer!!!

So, have you started thinking about your Christmas content for social media?

Here are three ideas that should help you get started.

1. CHRISTMAS-UP YOUR IMAGES

Images are the first place to start thinking about adding some festive touches. You could change your profile picture to include a hint of Christmas. How about adding a Christmas hat? Or take a picture of you in a Christmas jumper! Or you could just adapt the picture you already have with a little sprig of holly!

When sharing images on social media, think about how you can add in a little nod to the season. Canva is an easy to use tool to add on additional images to your usual images.

2. CREATE FESTIVE TRADITIONS ON SOCIAL MEDIA

Christmas is the time for traditions. So, why not create your own? Start something you will continue to do every year on social media, so your audience begins to expect and look forward to it. For me, this is creating a Christmas parody song!! Think about what traditions could work best for your brand and audience.

3. USE EXISTING CHRISTMAS THEMES

You could also use existing traditions in your content, such as creating your own advent calendar, having a naughty elf on the shelf or doing some form of 12 days of Christmas. I’m going to be sharing a reel every day on Instagram in the run up to Christmas, to play on the advent calendar theme. What could you do?

And, if you want lots more ideas for creating Christmas content for social media, come join me for my webinar on Wednesday 25th November 12-1pm, where I’ll be sharing even more ideas of ways to not only add Christmas in to your content, but also to use it to convert your audience in to paying customers!
