Emojis can be a controversial subject! While some businesses believe using them makes you look unprofessional and a bit ridiculous, others believe they add fun and vibrancy to your content.

Of course, it really does depend on your business. But chances are, there are some emojis you could be using and still be able to look completely professional in your posts, if you wish to.

Here are 5 ways to use emojis in your content.

.

1. Bullet Pointed Lists

Emojis are great to use as bullet points in your written content. If you want to share a list, then pick an emoji to kick off each point! Some great emojis to use as bullet points include: ✔️ ⭐️ ❓ 👉🏻 👍🏻 📌 📍❤️ 🔹

.

2. Incorporate Branding

Picking one or two emojis that align with your brand is a good way of having consistency with your content. You could end each post with your brand emoji or could use it elsewhere within your post. This could be a heart in your brand colours 💚, an image that aligns with your brand 🚀 or something that showcases what you do 💇🏻‍♀️.

.

3. Encourage Engagement

Emojis are a quick and easy way for your audience to engage with you. While of course, it’s important to get meaningful comments on our posts, for some posts a simple emoji response can be enough. You could end your post by asking your audience to post an emoji. For example, asking them to give you a 🙌🏻 if they agree with what you are saying. Or prompting them to respond with an emoji to describe their response to the post 😀😂😍😤😢.

.

4. Direct Them

The pointing emojis are a great way to direct where you want the attention of your audience to go. You could ask them to leave a comment below and use the 👇🏻 emoji to encourage that. Or point 👉🏻 towards a link you want them to click. You could also use them as a prompt for what you want them to do next, such as send you a message 📩.

.

5. Add Fun and Personality

And, of course, emojis are a great way of adding a bit of colour and fun to your posts 🥳. Adding emojis throughout your post can bring it to life. They can make the post far more inviting to read and show your business personality too. And they can adding a visual representation of what you are saying 🗣.
